The Story so Far
Herow!
So far we have been having a very special time…
We left Plymouth around Midnight on Monday 5th.
After a bloody cold night just off the M25 we started up the big dog and continued onward t’ward Dover…we indulged in a sandwich on the ferry, un cafe and on our arrival a la france we set off with gusto!
Then we realised we had no money.
oh, and then the accelerator pedal fell off, much to our amusement and that of the autoroute security people…
after some epic gaffer tapery we cracked on, our money problems solved by the wonders of aza’s credit card, which apparently is something called a “VEEZA”…
That night we stayed in a Formula 1, dirty dirty cheap cheap hotel. Here, Ben had a midnight boxing match with himself and Aza saw a ghost, or something, it might have been Ben in his Pyjamas but we’re not sure.
The next day we landed at Tignes in the Alps at around 3 o clock. Wee Man (the bar manager) got us started with a round of beers then we did or first apres-ski gig.
In the break between the apres and the evening gig we learnt a new song and got a little more tipsy. The evening set went off, with some crazy beat-boxing sheninagans and an impromptu version of “Rappers Delight”.
We crashed in the Van and it snowed about 10cm overnight, we were snugeriffic tho, courtesy of our new fuel for vesuvius (the stove).
After some cold pizza for breakfast and a shower in the most pimptastic telly fantastic chalet this side of chernobyl (thanks Mandy), we headed to Val Thorens and met up with Matt (Cleggy to you Sir!). After some impromptu Jagerbombs we were ready for the apres set.
Apres the Apres (haha), we went for a massive feed over at a cool little pub called Tango’s. Pints of Long Island Iced Tea were consumed which directly contributed to the excellent performance at the evening gig…(there are some great pictures to come from that gig courtesy of a photographer called Tim…)
Next, Meribel beckoned. We met up with some good friends, played an open mic night and got told we were “immensely talented” by The Feeling, which was nice…
Now here we are in Alpe D’Huez. Having a beer in the underground.
more info soon, big love.
